WORK
Youth Day 2025
Lebo spent Youth Day at Nghunghunyani High School in Soweto where she hosted a 30-minute workshop between the Grade 8 to 10 learners’ exam sessions. She spoke about important aspects of leadership, what it means in real life, and how it can shape their future careers as they begin thinking about university.
Lebo focused on showing that being a leader is “cool” and relatable, while also breaking down common myths about what leadership truly looks like.
She also offered one-on-one mentorship to several learners who asked for personal guidance.
Empowering Future Leaders: Highlights from the Leadership Workshop with Lebo Msimanga
The Lebo Leads Foundation hosted an inspiring leadership webinar led by Lebo Msimanga. In 1 hour and 20 minutes, young participants, with diverse interests ranging from modelling and public speaking to sports, explored essential leadership concepts, including different leadership styles such as democratic, transformational, and collaborative leadership.
Lebo debunked common leadership myths, showing that leadership is a skill anyone can develop, not a trait people are born with. The session also emphasized the power of trying, failing, and growing, encouraging participants to embrace challenges as opportunities for personal growth.
Through interactive activities like “One-word Leadership” and a reflective quiz, attendees reflected on their leadership qualities and learned from each other. This workshop was an empowering experience for future leaders to develop new skills, engage with their peers, and grow in confidence. Don’t miss out on the full workshop recording!
ICFK
ICFK is a creative casting house that serves as a new channel-shifter in the field of entertainment, fashion and arts for South African kids and aspiring young models.
Lebo contributed as a photoshoot coordinator for ICFK, helping guide young talent as they prepared to participate in an international fashion show in Colombia.
Following the photoshoot, she was invited as a guest speaker at a workshop, where she shared insights into the modelling industry, offered advice on navigating life as a creative professional, and introduced her leadership strategies through her initiative and foundation, Lebo Leads.
